Set Up Tax in the Mobile App

Adding tax to your store ensures compliance with regulations and makes it easier for customers to see the total cost of their purchases. Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up tax in the BuildMyStore mobile app.

Step 1: Open the BuildMyStore App

1. Launch the BuildMyStore mobile app on your smartphone.

2. Log in to your account if required.

Step 2: Go to the Account Section

1. Tap on the Account option at the bottom of the app interface.

2. This will navigate you to the Account menu.

Step 3: Navigate to Store Settings

1. In the Account menu, you will find several options.

2. Tap on the Store Setting option to proceed.

Step 4: Open the Tax Setup Option

1. Inside Store Settings, locate and tap on the Tax Setup option.

2. This will open the Tax Setup interface where you can configure tax settings for your store.

Step 5: Configure Tax Details

1. On the Tax Setup page, you will find the following options:

   • GST Number: Enter your GST (Goods and Services Tax) number.

   • Tax Percentage: Specify the percentage of tax to be applied (e.g., 5%, 12%, 18%).

2. Include Tax in Product Price:

   • You will see a toggle button to decide whether tax should be included in the product price:

     • Enable the toggle to include tax in the product price (tax will be part of the product price).

     • Disable the toggle to add tax separately at checkout.

Step 6: Save and Enable Tax

1. Once you’ve entered all the details:

   • Tap the Enable Tax button at the bottom of the screen to apply the tax settings.

   • If you want to turn off the tax feature, tap the Disable Tax button.

2. After enabling, the tax settings will be applied to your store, and the configured tax details will reflect on customer invoices and product pricing as per your selection.

Final Step: Review Your Store

1. After enabling tax, test your store’s checkout process to verify that the tax is applied correctly.

2. Your customers will now see the tax details during their purchase journey.
