How to add and remove a variant in a product?

You can add, edit, and remove multiple variants for a standard product. Each variant can have its own pricing and images.

Step-by-Step Guide

Web App

1. Open Products: Log in to the Seller Web application, go to Catalog, and select the Products tab.
2. Add a Product: Select Add Product and keep the Loose Product toggle turned off.
3. Enter Product Details: Enter the required product details.
4. Add a Variant: In Variants & Pricing, select Add Variant and select the required Variant Name.
5. Select a Variant Value: Select the required value from the Recommended options.
6. Add a Custom Value: If the required value is not available, enter it in the Type option and press Enter field, press Enter, and select Add.
7. Add More Variants: Select Add Variant and repeat the steps to add another variant.
8. Enter Pricing Details: Enter the MRP, Selling Price, and Shipping Weight, if required.
9. Add Variant Images: Add up to 4 images for each variant, if required.
10. Create the Product: Select Create Product to save the product. The SKU is generated automatically.
11. Edit a Variant: Open the required standard product and go to Variants & Pricing to update the required variant details.
12. Remove a Variant: Select the checkbox for the variant you want to remove. Select multiple variants if required, then select Delete.
13. Save Changes: Save the product after making the required changes.

Mobile App

1. Open Products: Log in to the BuildMyStore Mobile application, select Catalog, and select the Products tab.
2. Add a Product: Select Add Product and scroll to Variants & Pricing.
3. Add a Variant: Select Add Variant, select a variant from Quick add variants, and add the required values using Suggested values.
4. Add a Custom Value: If the required value is not available, enter it in the Add a value field and select the + icon.
5. Add More Variants: Select Add option and add the required values for the variant.
6. Save Variant Options: Select Save options.
7. Enter Pricing Details: Enter the MRP and Selling price for each variant.
8. Add Variant Images: Select Add photos for the required variant and add up to 4 photos.
9. Save the Variant: Select Save variant.
10. Edit a Variant: Open the required standard product and go to Variants & Pricing. Select Edit and update the variant name or values as required.
11. Remove a Variant: Select the Delete icon beside the variant.
12. Save Changes: Select Save options.

Note

A standard product must have at least one variant. Loose Products do not support adding, editing, or removing variants.
